Dear [NAME], here are three new news items with may be of interest to younger member of your household...

A day out for £3 - Ice skating and Karting!
Cut price ice skating and karting trips are being offer to young people in Darlington. The subsidised trips are being organised by the Council’s Youth Service for young people aged 13 to 17.

The trips are being funded by the Government’s Youth Crime Action Plan which has given £25,000 to the Council to provide activities for young people on Friday and Saturday nights.

The first trip for ice skating fans is a disco on ice at Whitely Bay Ice Rink on Friday December 12 and the bus will leave the Dolphin Centre at 5.30pm and return at 10pm.

On Saturday December 13, there will be a trip to Top Gear Karting in Durham. The bus will leave the Dolphin Centre at 5pm and return at 9.30pm (all participants must be at least 1.4m/4.7ft tall).

Both trips are aimed at young people aged 13 to 17 and will cost just £3 a person.

Places must be booked in advance and to ensure as many people as possible can take part, young people can only book on one trip.

WWW – WHATEVER WHENEVER WHEREEVER
No it's not the MAXWELL - WHENEVER WHEREVER WHATEVER Lyrics... but a Mobile Youth Facility

Launched on the 15 November 2008, the facility features an equipped minibus (TV, games consoles, work bench, seating, DVD player) and equipment trailer (sports and arts equipment and additional seating).

Over the forthcoming months the bus will tour schools and colleges, wards around the town and be present at large scale events for young people with a view to being fully operational from spring 2009. This will entail locating at sites for a 12 to 18 week period and in addition, will provide an access point and range of development opportunities and activities.

Best regards
Mark
